Agartala, February 22 (TIWN): Altogether 801 voters from across Tripura have cast their votes in favour of the candidates for Tripura Bar Association’s election. The polling procedure was ended peacefully which was started from this morning.

Counting of votes is going on and the result will be declared immediately after the completion of counting process this evening.

The voters have sealed the fate of 30 candidates of Left panel (AILU) and non Left united panel in the ballot boxes.

Haribol Debnath and Bhaskar Debbarma are contesting the poll for president and secretary posts in favour of Left panel (AILU) while Abhijit Ganachowdhury and Debashis Rakshit of anti Left united panel are contesting the election for president and secretary posts.

Altogether 15 candidates of two panels will be elected through the election. With the winning candidates, a 15-member committee will be constituted for the posts of president, vice-president, secretary, two assistant secretaries and 10 members.
