Belonia, Feb 21 (TIWN):South Tripura Celebrated international mother language day through Rally/Seminar/Souvenir Publication/Stage Drama at Belonia today with gaiety and honour.
People of both the countries India, Bangladesh, jointly observed international mother language day with colorful rally through Flag and festoon.
MLA Basudeb Majumder, MLA Sudhan Das, Chairperson Dipankar Sen and ten other delegates from Bangladesh also took part in the rally and the rally travelled through various routes of the Belonia Municipality.
Students from various Schools /Colleges also taken part in the rally.Later they paid tribute to Martyrs Tomb near BKI School followed by a cultural programmes.
While speaking to TIWN, MLA Basudeb Majumder said that “Recently mother language is being neglected and we all should not ignore our mother language by any means rather nourish our mother language”. Delegates from Bangladesh said that the people of both sides feel free to talk,speak,write in Bengali.
Bangladesh delegation also thanked to the people of Tripura for helping for their liberation struggle.
Today evening a Drama “ Pratham Parth” based on Mahabharata by Dhaka Drama Team will also be staged at Belonia Town hall .
