KAILASAHAR, February 21 (TIWN): Uncertainty prevails over the construction of the tribal rest house at Kailasahar near Nagar Panchayat office. However, the implementing officer and the Engineer in-charge (R D Department) Supriya Biswas blames the tribal welfare department over the delay of the fund release for the construction work. The construction work commenced from May 29, 2013. Besides, the allegation has also been raised against the low quality work of the tribal rest house, while the implanting officer denies the allegation.

It has been since 21 months that the construction work of the tribal rest house at Kailasahar near Nagar Panchayat office has not been completed yet, with the uncertainty hovers over the completion of the work. The Tribal Welfare Department handed over the work order F.10 (220-EE/RD/KGT/DIV/2012-13) with the sanctioned amount of Rs. 72, 07, 674 to the Rural development department.

 However, the Implementing Officer and the Engineer in-charge (RD Dept.) Supriya Biswas has blamed the tribal welfare department for not releasing the entire fund in due time, due to which the construction work of the tribal rest house has been paralysed, yet today.

Besides, the locals also alleged that the concerned department has been keeping in a low quality work in regard of the construction of the rest house, but Mr. Biswas denied the allegation.

The idea of construction of the rest house was taken for the tribal people who arrive here from far from the city areas for the purpose of administrative and other works. However, though it is a time now to witness, when does the construction work of the rest house complete to facilitate the tribal people.
