AGARTALA, February 20 (TIWN): The two day long state level Jari Sari Utsav was organized with the joint initiative of Minority Welfare Department and Information and cultural Affairs Department at Nazrul Kalakshetra, here today. Minority Welfare Minister Sahid Chowdhury inaugurated the programme. The Utsav will continue till February 21st.

 Various competitions were also organized in 10 separate events during the state level Jari Sari Utsav. Among the 10 events, sit and draw competition, recitation, Rabindra-Nazrul song, Islami Gajal, Murshidi, Marfati, Lalangiti and songs of Hachan Raja were organized among the children upto 10 years. Besides, wedding songs (female), Kawali and Jari Sari songs were also performed in the Utsav.
Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dr. Prafullajit Sinha was present as chief guest while Director of Information and cultural Affairs Department Santanu Debbarma was present as guest of honour. Secretary of Minority Welfare Department Samarjit Bhowmik was present as special guest
