AGARTALA, February 20 (TIWN): The uninterrupted 22 Âyear stint in power of the state government has failed to develop the human resource here in Tripura and that must be the biggest failure of the state government, Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman alleged.
Addressing in the Assembly session today opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman said that infrastructural development is going on in the state but there the state has got no sufficient numbers of professionals like doctors, teachers etc. The state government is only fooling the people of the state in the name of infrastructural development. The state has several hospitals but the numbers of the doctors are not sufficient due to which the people of the state are deprived from basic medical treatment.
At present there is a huge lack of skilled workers in the state. Due to which the state government has to pay a huge amount to the skilled workers those are coming to the state from outside, Barman added.
The economic development sector is divided in three parts primary, secondary and tertiary. And the state government is only developing the secondary and tertiary sector which is basically the corporate sector. As a result the primary section which means the poor people of the state are deprived from all kind of government facilities, he alleged.
The State government shed tears for poor only at the time of elections and then quickly forget their plight after assuming power. The State Government has always been for businessman and bureaucrats; it has never worked for the common people of the state, Barma alleged.
