Agartala, February 19 (TIWN): With the joint initiative Minority Welfare Department and Information and cultural Affairs Department, two-day long state level Jari Sari Utsav will be commenced at Nazrul Kalakshetra on tomorrow.

Minister for Information and cultural Affairs Department- Bhanulal Saha would inaugurate the ursav while the inaugural ceremony will be presided over by Minority Welfare Minister Sahid Chowdhury.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC)- Dr. Prafullajit Sinha would grace the dais as chief guest while Director of Information and cultural Affairs Department- Santanu Debbarma will be present as guest of honour. Secretary of Minority Welfare Department- Samarjit Bhowmik would attend the inaugural function as special guest.

During the utsav, various competitions will be held in 10 separate events. Among the 10 events, sit and draw competition, recitation, Rabindra-Nazrul song, Islami Gajal, Murshidi, Marfati, Lalangiti and songs of Hachan Raja will be held among the children upto 10 years. Besides, wedding songs (female), Kawali and Jari Sari songs will be performed in the Utsav.
