Kailashahar twin murder incident: One more arrested

Kailashahar, February 12 (TIWN): Suspecting involvement in twin murder, police arrested one more person at Kailashahar on last night. He was identified as Jamir Ali, resident of Gournagar and his name was revealed during the interrogation of other arrested persons, said police.
He was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court and the court sent him to police remand till February 16, said police.
In a gruesome incident, Anjan Deb, resident of Kalikapur and Pallab Debnath of Kajirgao were brutally killed on last Saturday night and their bodies were recovered adjacent to a bridge at Mohanpur under Kailashahar police station on Sunday morning.
Three other persons- Purabi Debnath, Numan Miah and Sarif Miah were booked in connection with twin murder on February 09. They were produced before the CJM court and the court sent them to police remand till February 15.
According to police, the duo was suspected to be killed following a dispute over lewdness of Puravi Debnath and ancestral property.
“Purabi Debnath is suspected to be acted as mastermind of the twin murder. The investigation team revealed few more names in this connection. The motive of duo murder case will be unveiled soon”, said police.
