AGARTALA, Jan 16 (TIWN): “I do not have any lust for them (minority seats)..” said Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during his Tripura visit. He also said that Congress would get over 22 seats there and the minority seats as well.
The former Congress leader and now Assam CM under BJP Govt also mentioned that BJP will fit candidates only to those seats where the party can win, otherwise, “Let our friendly parties fight there. What the point of fitting candidates where we can not win”

Reacting to the comments which lacked the ruthless-victory spirit for BJP in Assam, Tripura Congress President Asish Saha said, “Everyone knows Assam situation is bad.”
“People there (Assam) are striving for a change and we claim that Assam will have a political power shift led by Congress,” he said.
Assam has 126 seats for the Assembly polls and the poll is scheduled next year.
