AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): Tripura police on Saturday issued several warnings against fake news. The warning came from multi-layers of police authority following Fatikroy violence where houses, and public assets were burnt, vandalized by miscreants.
Whereas opposition parties blamed BJP behind this incident, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee accused the opposition for coloring this unfortunate incident with communal tone.
“The incident was untoward. Accused persons have been booked, involved in this incident,” said a cop.

“Our only appeal to the people is to stay out of fake news and not to spread fake news,” Additional SP of Unakoti District of Khowai said.
“If any such attempt of spreading fake news is taken, we will take strict action,” he added.
