AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Multiple public assets were vandalized, set on fire targeting a family who, according to the Congress party, refused to pay some donation for an event. The incident happened in Fatikroy, when a group of people attacked a man over donation issues and set fire to his assets and later, allegedly attacked his relatives’ houses. Then a mosque was also set on fire.
Police issued an emergency act in Shimultali village, where the incident took place.
“Tripura never faced such religious communal tension before the BJP came to power. But for the last eight years, just like any other BJP state, this is happening in Tripura as well,” said Saha.
“CM talks about law and order situations but such incidents show how much lies he delivers on law and order. Because people do not believe in him anymore, that’s why he put DGP in a press conference to speak on his behalf. But within 24 hours of the DGP’s press meet, advocating Sushashan for his governance, this incident happened,” said Asish Saha. “I lost my words to condemn this heinous activity.”
The Congress State President blamed BJP behind this activity.
