AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): Day after TET qualifying job aspirants protested in Agartala demanding immediate recruitment, Tripura CM Manik Saha alleged, the youths are doing this to grab attention.
“Whether you protest or not, it will not change our decision. Schools need teachers and without protests also, we are going to hire teachers. Just because you protest, there won’t be any early recruitment. Everything will happen on time. My government gave 29% DA in the last 29 months to the government employees and there was no need for any protest and the same applies here for TET recruitment,” he said.

“They (agitators) are actually pushed by others to protest. They saw the previous job aspirants protesting and that’s why they are also in protest but I would say, to stay out of protests. If we had no intention to hire, then we would have stopped cTET exams but we are conducting TET exams because there is a need for teachers,” said CM.
