AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): After Tripura Cricket Team Captain Manishankar Murasigh remains unsold at IPL, Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Debbarma slammed the state government for failing to promote own talent like Manishankar Muransigh. “Sometimes we have talents inside our home, but we can not identify that diamond. I do respect Saurabh Ganguli, who has made tremendous contributions for our national cricket, but his ties are with Bengal. Why can we not promote our own talent? So much money is given to outsiders but why not for our own people?”
Debbarman further requested the TTAADC to make Manisankar Murasing the brand ambassador of the council and support him in spreading the sport of cricket. “This will inspire our youths to come into sports. Otherwise, they won’t feel inspired,” he said.
“IPL or not he has made all of us proud and we should give him due recognition,” Debbarman posted on his social media platform. “Why should we promote and honour local talent! In complete support of Mani Sankar Murasing.”
