AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing feud between ruling BJP and Tipra Motha party, 21 top leaders from various districts joined Tipra Motha party. The joining program happened ahead of the ADC election that is scheduled for next year. The former BJP leaders have alleged insults, and lack of vision for the tribal community in the BJP government have led them to join Tipra Motha party – which is the only hope for the indigenous people of Tripura.
Tipra Motha shares cabinet seats with the BJP government but in ADC Tipra Motha is the ruling party, since they won the election in 2021.

Tipra Motha and BJP both sides have claimed on Tuesday that the 2026-ADC election will be in their favor and the next government in the Assembly election in 2028 will be also formed without each others’ help. Although the election is still awaiting to be declared, the resentment among both parties are rising. Speculations are going on about the split of both parties.

Meanswhile BJP accused Tipra Motha party for attacking BJP party members and the latest one happened in Charilam on Monday, where BJP lodged FIR against Tipra Motha activists.
