AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Dec 5 (TIWN): Indian airline Indigo is failing in smooth operations with hundreds of flights getting cancelled nationwide. Making Tripura passengers a part of the ongoing hassle, Agartala Indigo service also dropped at its worst in performance level. Passengers were seen waiting for hours outside the Airport terminal in rows, as they were eagerly waiting to know how they got the refund. No prior SMS was sent telling the passengers regarding flight cancellation consuming money and time of the passengers at the same time. After reaching the Agartala MBB Airport, they came to know about the cancellation.
“They (Indigo) should have informed us if it can’t function. Right now, the state governments have no control over the Airlines – this has left the situation more complex," said an elderly woman who was scheduled to fly Indore via Kolkata.
“We came to know about the flight cancellation after reaching the airport. They have cancelled all flights. Regarding refunding or rescheduling — they said after December 10 only they will go with the process. But we do not need to go to Indore after December 10,” she added.
“The worst thing is there is no announcement by Indigo. Now for refunding we have to stand in rows to ask them how to get the refund,” she added. “I would say, there is no control over the airlines and that’s why they are canceling flights anytime at their wishes. They should have sent SMS to us about flight cancellation but they are so adamant that they won’t do it.”
