AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Former MP Rebati Tripura on Monday slammed Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Debbarma on various issues including his allegations about tribal deprivation that he brought against the BJP led governments both at state and centre. Addressing a press meet, at Krishna Nagar BJP state head office, Tripura said that the Tipra Motha leader got a loud voice to speak all these because he aligned with BJP.
Rebati Tripura also claimed, Pradyot Debbarma likes to glorify himself connecting him with former king Bir Bikram Manikya as his grandfather but often ashamed of introducing himself as son of Kirit Bikram Manikya because, he (Kirit Bikram Manikya) was in Congress party and represented Congress in the Parliament.
Rebati Tripura cited, not only Krit Bikram but earlier Kirit Bikram Manikya’s mother Kanchan Prabha Devi and his wife Bibhu Devi — they all were in Congress and Pradyot Manikya does not want to recall that history.
“Today he often says, he talked to Delhi but how could he say that? Because he is aligned with BJP and BJP in power. BJP not only benefited the tribal population but also benefited the Royal family,” said the ex-MP who was replaced by Pradyot Manikya’s elder sister Kriti Singh for the East Tripura MP post in the last Lok Sabha election.

Rebati Tripura gave an example of another top royal figure Jishnu Debbarma who is now serving as Telangana Governor, establishing his claim further about what BJP has done for the royal family.
The former MP also stretched how Bir Bikram Manikya has been honored by BJP led Central Govt, Prime Minister Modi and how various statues were unveiled under the BJP led administration.
