SONAMURA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Illegal Ganja plantation was destroyed in Sonamura in a drive that took over 55 acres of land. The plantation was discovered on Govt Forest land under Dulunga village, in Ghatighat area, of Kamalnagar, Sonamura.
Police were accompanied by 49th battalion BSF, and 81 battalion of the BSF.
Forest department and TSR jawans from 14th battalion and other sectors also participated to complete the biggest ever drive of the recent time.
The operation covered the whole day and after a day-long effort in the joint effort of police and BSF finally — it turned into a success.
