Tripura Cabinet Endorsed over 400 New Jobs under Various Departments

AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura decided to recruit more than 400 new employees under various departments. The decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting, briefed by Minister Sushanta Chowdhury before the media. “This is good news for the youths of Tripura that our government is recruiting that number of employees in various departments. There is no doubt to say that it is a pro-people government that is thinking for the job seekers,” said Chowdhury.

While briefing the media at the Secretariat, Chowdhury said the recruitment of over 400 posts will take place in social welfare, urban development, cooperative – JRBT, TPSC. 

“This government is kind enough to give jobs to 19,000 people,” he said referring to the last 7 year recruitment flow that occurred under the BJP era.

The Minister told the media that a total 97 posts (fixed pay) under the cooperative department will be recruited — that includes Audit,  Investigator, Statistical Investigator under Group-C on a fixed pay basis. Chowdhury said the posts will be under Group-C and to be recruited through JRBT.

28 posts of supervisors will be filled up under the ICDS Department and 14 new engineers under urban development department to be hired. Those posts will include — Civil, Mechanical, Public Health Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Municipal Tech Services toward Government Reforms - 2025.

Faculty members (contract basis) for Tripura Film and Television Institute also will be recruited. The vacant posts which will be filled up are Assistant Professor (Screen Acting), Assistant Professor (Video Editing), Editor cum Demonstrator, Attendant for Editing Media Lab, Academic Coordinator, Senior Technical Officer - maintenance in IT, Sound Recording and Mixing Engineer cum Demonstrator. 

The Minister also said, the government decided to open 119 Anganwadi centers and for that 119 posts will be filled up where Anganwadi-helpers will be hired.
