AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): Devotees rushed to observe Maha-Astami puja at Agartala Durga Bari on Tuesday, offering prayers to Goddess Durga on the auspicious occasion. Ashtami puja is considered as the most auspicious day among the four days long Durga puja and usually rushes for "Anjali" ritual remains higher than the other days. Across the state Tripura Durga puja was observed with massive enthusiasm and Tuesday marked the Maha-Ashtami with "mantras" were chanted across puja pandals. At Agartala Durga Bari, which is an ancident Durga temple, established during King's era in the state every year large number of people pay visit to have a glimpse of Devi Durga.
These two days of Durga puja remained peaceful in Tripura whereas two more days remained to complete all the rituals. Maha Navami and Bijoya Dashami will be celebrated Wednesday and Thursday.
