SANTIR BAZAR, Sep 29 (TIWN): Santir Bazar’s popular Durga puja at the East Para started following rituals on Saptami.

“Ganga Anayan” which is a ritual invoking Goddess Ganga, the symbol of water has been grandly observed there.

Devotees since early morning have gathered at the puja pandal, offering “bhog”, “flowers”, and “anjali” chanting mantras following the instructions given by the priest.

Mass-enthusiasm was observed among the local people centering this Durga puja celebration and the festive spirit remained high among the children.
