AGARTALA, Aug 28 (TIWN): There were only a single teacher and she retired at her 60 and since then, the village left without any teacher at the local pre-primary school. Consequently, the future school students left deprived of their basic education including alphabet learning. The pre-primary Anganwadi center is located in Kathalia block where at least 60 children are dependent on the center. But because of teachers' absence, the kids in the area are not getting basic education. As a result, they are lagging behind the mainstream of students in the state.
Local people gathered at the center on Thursday appealing to the Government to take appropriate actions to solve the matter.
In protest, the guardians also locked the Anganwadi center, demanding immediate action to be taken to solve the matter, so that the children get basic education.
