Agartala, July 21, 2025 (TIWN): A horrific incident of domestic violence has come to light in Agartala's Chandrapur area, where a woman named Archana Sinha was brutally attacked by her brother-in-law, Sumanta Sinha.

The attack has left Archana with severe injuries, including damage to her tongue and both hands.

According to reports, the attack is part of a larger pattern of harassment and abuse that Archana has faced since her husband's demise last year. Sumanta Sinha had allegedly tried to attack her and force her out of the house on previous occasions.

Archana is currently receiving treatment at GB Hospital. The All India Democratic Women's Association has taken a strong stance against this incident, submitting a deputation to the East Agartala Women's Police Station and demanding justice for Archana and strict action against Sumanta Sinha.
