AGARTALA, July 17 (TIWN): BJP organized protest in Bishalgarh protesting CPI-M leader Shankar Prasad Datta’s controversial remarks against Hanuman Chalisa.

The rally was headed by local BJP MLA Sushanta Deb.

This week, dozens of protests were organized by the BJP party across the state.

A group of BJP members in fact entered the senior CPI-M leader’s home and gifted him a Hanuman chalisa.

CPI-M party has yet to make any comment on the incident.

The CPI-M leader has also been silent on the overall situation that has erupted after his comment.
