Agartala, July 17 (TIWN): The West Police Station has arrested two individuals, Amit Deb and Sajal Debnath, in connection with a theft case.

On July 11, a group of thieves broke into the SD Enterprise at the Melarmath by cutting through the tin roof and stole a laptop and cash.

The West Police Station started an investigation and identified the thieves through CCTV footage. The police tracked down the duo in Agartala and recovered the stolen laptop from Amit Deb's residence in Ambasar.

The accused will be produced in court today, and the police will seek their remand. According to SDPO Debprasad Roy, the main accused, Amit Deb, may be involved in other cases, including battery theft in the court premises.
