Agartala, July 15 (TIWN): A shocking incident of attack on a contractor's home was reported in the Hawkers' Corner area of Unakoti district. Abdul Mannan, a local contractor, was attacked by a group of miscreants at around 11 am on Tuesday, leaving him and two others seriously injured.
The injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Unakoti District Hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, the sudden attack spread panic in the area. Mannan's brother-in-law, Sohel Ahmed, described the incident as a "barbaric attack" and questioned the effectiveness of law and order in the state.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident, with preliminary suspicions pointing to rivalry in the contracting business as a possible motive. The locals have demanded the swift arrest of the culprits. Mannan himself has also demanded action against the attackers.
