Agartala, July 14, 2025 (TIWN): In a significant bust, the Teliamura police station has arrested five individuals, including four women, for allegedly smuggling ganja in the Trishabari railway station area. The accused were caught with 32 kilograms of dry ganja, valued at approximately Rs 2 lakh.
According to the police, the accused were stopped for checking, and their suspicious behavior and incoherent conversation led to a thorough search. The ganja was seized, and a case has been registered under the NDPS Act. The police are investigating the matter further.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of the Tripura police to curb the smuggling of contraband substances in the state. The Teliamura police station's successful operation demonstrates their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region.
