The tragic incident happened in the Bhagaban Nagar area in Kailashahar subdivsion.

Khushi, daughter of a vehicle driver Jakir Hossain, was absent from home as he was outside working for his daily expenses.

As she was going missing, locals started searching for her. After a long time, her body was found in a pond in the neighborhood.

Another girlchild of Jakir Hossain died by drowning in pond before few years.

Jakir is married to his second wife and both the deceased daughters are from his first wife.

Local people demanded a proper investigation into the incident. Police have taken Khusi’s body for post-mortem.
