AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Recently, 196 engineers were hired by the state government in Tripura under various departments. To felicitate them, a program was organized at Nazrul Kalakshetra by the State Engineers Association of Tripura (SEAT) on Saturday. Whereas each of the engineers who were present there was handed over with a greeting for their achievement, they were also advised to be “innovative” and a “lifetime learner”. Addressing the gathering, Chief Engineer of Road and Building, Rajib Debbarma said, “Young engineers are innovative and surely will bring fresh ideas.”
“I often take advice, or you may say, guidelines from many young engineers or the engineers who continue to research and study,” Debbarma said.
“Continuation of studies helps to understand the subjects more deeply, and so they can solve the problems using engineering techniques in a better way. So, my recommendation to you will always be to continue studies.”
Satyabrata Das, General Secretary of SEAT advised the newly hired engineers to be honest and responsible in their duties --- which ultimately will bring the maximum outcome and success.
He also appealed to the young engineers to change the perception of the public, who bear a negative image of Tripura government engineers.
