Agartala, July 11 (TIWN): A 14-year-old boy lost his life while fishing with his friends in a pond in the Airport police station area. Sanjit Biswas, son of Sri Narayan Biswas, a resident of Chinai Hani Daspara, drowned in a pond belonging to Sri Chitta Baisya, a resident of neighboring Baisya Para.

According to reports, Sanjit and his friends were fishing in the pond when he slipped into the water and drowned. His friends informed his family, who then alerted the fire service. The fire service team arrived promptly and rescued Sanjit from the pond, taking him to GB Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, highlighting the importance of safety measures when engaging in water activities.
