Agartala, July 8 (TIWN): Egiye Chal Sangha is all set to participate in the prestigious Rakhal Shield Football Tournament, which is scheduled to kick off on July 11 at the Umakanta Stadium under the aegis of Tripura Football Association.

The team's first match is scheduled for July 13, and the Sangha is confident of putting up a good show. Egiye Chal Sangha has a rich history of success in football, having won the Rakhal Shield tournament four times in a row and the TFA Senior Division League Football Tournament three times in a row.

The Sangha's football team is led by coach Sujit Halder and assistant coach Jan Bhattacharjee, a former renowned footballer of the state.
