Agartala, July 2 (TIWN): In a swift operation, Ramnagar outpost police arrested a Bangladeshi youth with cough syrup in the Lankamura area.
Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the youth and seized the contraband.
The youth was taken to Agartala West Police Station, where Second OC Shyam Shankar Riang briefed the media about the incident. The police are investigating the matter and further details are awaited. The arrest highlights the vigilance of the Tripura police in tackling cross-border smuggling.
The youth will be produced before a court to seek police remand for further investigation into the case.
