Bishalgarh, July 1 (TIWN): A daring theft was reported at the Anganwadi Center in K K Nagar Muslimpara, under the jurisdiction of the Bishalgarh police station.
On Monday night, a group of thieves broke into the center by breaking the door lock and stole two gas cylinders used for cooking purposes.
The theft was discovered on Tuesday morning by the school helper, Peyara Begum, who found the door lock broken and the gas cylinders missing. She immediately informed the school teacher, Bhabani De, who lodged a complaint with the Bishalgarh police station.
The local residents suspect that the theft might be the handiwork of young people in the area who are addicted to various substances. They believe that if the police apprehend these youths and interrogate them, they might be able to recover the stolen items.
This incident highlights the growing concern of theft and burglary in the area, and the police are urged to take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future. The Bishalgarh police station has registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
