Melaghar, July 1 (TIWN): A road accident occurred in Melaghar's Indira Nagar area when a bike rider was hit by a speeding car. Tanmoy Das, the bike rider, was traveling on his Pulsar bike from Gomati Car Parlor to his home in Sonamura's Madhuban when the incident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, a Tata Tiago car (TR02-0586) was speeding on the road and collided with Tanmoy's bike from behind. The impact was severe, throwing Tanmoy and his bike off the road and into a nearby bush. The car driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Locals gathered at the scene and rushed Tanmoy to Melaghar Hospital for treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment and has sustained injuries on various parts of his body.

The police have recovered the bike and taken it to Melaghar Police Station. A case is expected to be registered against the car driver. The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who are shocked by the car owner's reckless behavior. The police are investigating the matter and working to identify the car driver.
