Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a truck with the registration number WB 11C-6078 around 4 am and found 31 packets of ganja hidden inside. The accused, identified as Ravi Kumar from Bihar, was arrested on the spot.

 

Confirming the seizure and arrest, Kamalpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer Samudra Debbarma stated that an investigation under the NDPS Act has been initiated to determine if others are involved in the smuggling operation. This successful operation highlights the police's efforts to combat substance abuse in the region.
