KAMALPUR, Feb 9, (TIWN): Low quality of drugs ensured making the patients go through a lengthy process of treatment along with the chemists being richer day by day. But the so-called ‘people friendly and transparent’ state government and its Drug Control department have hardly any time to look into the medical sector of this bordered mofussil Kamalpur.
For last ten to fifteen years, the drugs prepared by the companies like Cipla, Glaxo, Ranbaxy, Dr. More pen’s turned to be almost vanished from the market of the Kamalpur.
In spite of those drugs, drugs of some newly set up companies with less effectiveness and more retail value are sold in the sub-divisional town.
The retailers get almost double profit as well as the doctors get lucrative offers from those companies. The representatives and even some chemists always remain busy to serve the doctors with all kind of amusements for more prescription of those drugs. Likewise the doctors prescribe the drugs.
As a result of this, the commoners have to pay more money for treatment as well as have to consume unnecessary drugs. As no patient gets any medicine from the hospital store, so both in hospital and private practice the patients suffer the same fate.
