Agartala, June 28 (TIWN): A devastating accident on the Agartala-Udaipur road near Chharilam Petrol Pump claimed the life of Chandan Bhowmik, a local businessman, on Saturday morning. A speeding passenger bus (TR01C1389) collided head-on with Bhowmik's scooter, causing fatal injuries.

Despite being rushed to Bilasgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital, Bhowmik was declared dead. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters. The community is in shock, questioning the circumstances surrounding the accident and raising concerns about road safety.

The incident has sparked calls for authorities to take measures to prevent such accidents. Bhowmik's family and friends are struggling to cope with the loss, with the community rallying around them in support. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue pending further proceedings.
