Agartala, June 27 (TIWN): In a significant crackdown on contraband smuggling, the AD Nagar police have arrested four individuals, including two Bangladeshi nationals, for transporting Phensedyl and brown sugar.

Acting on a tip-off, the police seized the contraband from an auto-rickshaw bound for Bangladesh.

According to AD Nagar police officer-in-charge Bijoy Das, the operation highlights the police's ongoing efforts to combat smuggling in the region. The arrests have sent a strong message to those involved in such illicit activities, and the police are likely to intensify their efforts to prevent further smuggling attempts.

Two Bangladeshi and two Indians were arrested with Phensedyl by AD Nagar police in Agartala.
