Bishalgarh, June 27 (TIWN) : In a shocking incident, relatives of Corporator Nikhil Ranjan Chakraborty staged a protest against Apollo Medical Chemist and Druggist, Bishalgarh, for allegedly supplying expired medicine to their family member.
According to reports, the pharmacy sold the patient a batch of Zanocin that had expired in November 2024. The patient's relatives claimed they didn't notice the expiration date due to the urgency of the situation and administered the medicine to Corporator Chakraborty.
Upon discovering the expired medication, the family members protested outside the pharmacy, demanding action against the establishment. The incident has raised serious concerns about the pharmacy's quality control and accountability.
The authorities have been urged to investigate the matter and take necessary actions.
