AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): India sought responses from Pakistan regarding the ceasefire violation reports. Addressing media, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, “For the last few hours there have been repeated violations of understanding the arrived at this evening between the director generals of military operations of India and Pakistan.” “This is a breach of the understanding arrived at earlier today. The arm forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations and we take very very serious notice of these violations,” Misri said.
“We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situations with seriousness and responsibility,” Misri said.
“The armed forces are maintaining a strong vision on the situation. They have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the the violations of the borders --- international borders as well as Line of Control (LoC).
