AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Agartala GRP Police arrested Saimon Mia (25) in connection with human trafficking on Saturday night from Kamalasagar, Mia Para border area.

The arrest took place at Indo-Bangla border fencing area, with a joint venture of Kamalasagagr BSF, Agartala GRP police, and Madhupur police.

Reportedly, the arrestee was on police’s radar and absconding for a long time and finally police have successfully arrested him.

It’s expected that after interrogating him, more information will come out, and police might identify more people connected to the human trafficking chain.
