The Congress agitators accused the Tripura BJP Govt of taking recruitment bribes in various hiring.

Sharifa Rehman, the secretary of Indian Youth Congress (IYC), who is also visiting the state, told media during the agitation, “The BJP’s Acchee Din’s results are now visible. The promises they gave were never fulfilled, whereas unemployment has spiked.”

“Before over two years BJP Govt started the Fire Brigade recruitment process, and after spending more than two years, the government realized, there were flaws in the recruitment process. How does it help the employed youths?” Rehman said.

“Will the government extend the age limit for job aspirants who have already become overage ?” she asked.

Tripura Youth Congress president Nil Kamal Saha slammed the BJP-led state government on the state’s unemployment issue, saying, “We want to ask why the government played with unemployed youths’ lives? What are the reasons that, after two and a half years, this recruitment process had to be terminated? We want a response from Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.”

“It is a monster government that promises jobs, but at the time of recruitment, it cancels the recruitment. In 2022, the government started hiring Fire Brigade servicemen and drivers, and after two and a half years, it canceled the recruitment. Can the government return the years to the unemployed youths, who had dedicated plenty of time to get this job?” said Saha.

“We condemn the actions of the BJP Govt that has been playing with the unemployed youths' lives,” he added.
