AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath emphasised electricity production by solar setups, urging people to get facilities by installing the solar systems in their homes.
“Instead of giving money as electricity bills, you can earn money by producing power,” said Nath to the crowd.
“Suppose you are earning a thousand rupees from electricity. Initially, the amount might appear small, but just think, how it will be to count 12,000 rupees earned in one year,” said Nath.
“It’s not only free but gives you the option to earn from electricity,” added Nath.
Nath addressed a gathering at Lal Bahadur gym in Agartala on Sunday and said these words, assuring this scheme will always benefit the locals.
Prime Minister's Most Bijli Ghar scheme, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 13th February 2024, aims to provide free electricity through rooftop solar systems to 1 crore residential households and reduce dependence on conventional power sources while enabling citizens to become energy producers.
