AGARTALA, April 16 (TIWN): Tripura Congress Wednesday gheraoed Enforcement Department office in Agartala as part of nationwide agitations organized by the party over ED’s chargesheet against top Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. Accusing weaponization of central investigating agencies, the Congress gathered in front of the ED office, and broke police blockades demanding immediate withdrawal of ED’s action against the Gandhis.

“Today Modi and Shah are afraid of Rahul Gandhi. Unable to bear Rahul Gandhi’s political rise, they have taken the unethical way to prevent him,” said Tripura Congress President Asish Saha. “Congress will not tolerate this! We will go far with the matter --- as much as it’s needed to stop such immoral practices.”
“Such malicious practices by the Modi Govt can not stop Rahul Gandhi. He can not be stopped with false charges. Congress workers will never bow before the red eyes of the home department and agencies,” Saha added.
“When Rahul Gandhi talks about Artificial Intelligence in the parliament, Modi stands up and says, everything went over his head. Today China and America are much ahead of India in AI,” said Congress MLA Sudip Barman in front of the ED office, slamming the Modi Govt further for filing chargesheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

The Congress activists carried the father of the Indian constitution Dr. B.R.Ambedkar’s portraits in hand during the protest.
