BELONIA (South Tripura), March 18 (TIWN): A huge quantity of drugs were found in Rakesh Sarkar’s home. Rakesh Sarkar, is the son of retired cop Dipak Sarkar, who served under Tripura Police throughout his career and now a pension beneficiary. In Rakesh Sarkar’s absence, police arrested his father cum retired police officer Dipak Sarkar and other family members including Rakesh Sarkar’s wife and his brother Rajit Sarkar.

Based on secret information, police raided Rakesh Sarkar's house led by Belonia SDPO.

Grasping the police’s entrance to his home, Rakesh Sarkar threw the drugs in the toilet but police found the containers there.

A huge quantity of brown sugar along with empty containers were seized from the area.

DCM Sukanta Dey and Belonia PS OC – Shibu Ranjan Dey were also present during the raid.
