AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Local people blocked road protesting against severe water-crisis for past many days in Laxmipur, Kailashahar. The locals were forced to protest after receiving no response from the authority, even after their multiple attempts to address the matter.

?Laxmipur Gram Panchayat's Ward No-2 and 3 area's Kubjhar and Rajdarpur villagers have been reeling under a severe water crisis for a long time.

Locals said, that even though the government set pipelines and water supplies, hardly water comes to their homes. The areas are resided by over 500 people, causing severe suffering to the locals.

For the last three months, the water-supplying vehicle has also not distributing water, which has added more trouble to the scarcity.

Locals said,that until their demands are fulfilled they will continue to protest.
