AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Unemployed youths on Monday protested at the Shiksha Bhawan, after marching on the ‘Rajpath’ seeking immediate notification publication for the TET, STGT, STPGT examinations. A sit-in-demonstration was staged in front of the TRBT Shiksha Bhawan by the job-aspirants.

“After 2022, no TET notification, no STGT/STPGT exams were taken by the government. The numbers of B.ed, D.El.Ed passed out candidates are increasing. Whereas annually two-year TET exams should be held, no such exams were taken in last two years,” another agitating youth said.

“People depended on loans for B.Ed. It was said earlier (by the government) that once the B.ed training is completed, they would get jobs and can cover their loans,” he said referring to how Tripura Government offered education loans through banks to B.Ed students.

Recently 2022’s TET and STGT passed unemployed youths who are striving to draw government’s attention to get jobs were arrested after they gheraoed CM’s residence.
