AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): East Agartala Police arrested a thief in connection to Congress MLA Gopal Roy’s house loot. The incident happened on 13th October, on the night of Dashami and a case was lodged by the MLA in this regard on 14th October. Today based on secret information, police arrested a thief. For the sake of investigation, police did not reveal the thief’s name. Talking to media, SDPO Deba Prasad Roy said, “After receiving the complaint from the MLA, we formed a team to find the thief. The team led by East Agartala PS OC-Rana Chatterjee, and OC-MG Bazar Subhendu Das started investigation and based on our intelligence, the thief was arrested. He was arrested from his home and his possession, the gold ornaments were recovered. We have got him in remand to find further information.”
