AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): In a Joint operation with other security agencies BSF troops apprehended eight Bangladeshi and six Rohingya nationals trying to sneak into the India territory in Tripura in the last 48 hours. The troop captured one Bangladeshi national along with one Indian tout at Agartala Railway station today while they were trying to board Hamsafar Express.
In another operation on specific information, BSF troops of Baithangbari border outpost (BOP) under North Tripura district apprehended six Rohingya Illegal Migrants while they were trying to enter Indian territory by negotiating the border fence.
In an operation on Monday, BSF troops of BOP Mike under Unakoti District apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals near ICP Maughat while they were trying to exfiltrate to Bangladesh territory. Apprehended BD nationals are residents of District Kishoreganj and Habiganj Bangladesh . BSF Tripura sector headquarters said this in a statement today. BSF troops of BOP Rangichera under Dhalai district also apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals while they were trying to infiltrate into Indian territory with the assistance of touts by negotiating the border fence. Apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are residents of Bhola and Manikganj in Bangladesh.
The statement said the BSF has stepped up domination and vigil along the border and hinterland in Tripura to prevent infiltration .
