AGARTALA, Oct 15 (TIWN): Amid claims about strengthening law and order situations in Tripura, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha’s constituency Booth President Kinkar Saha said, he can be murdered at anytime. He also slammed the law and order situation and BJP party’s failure to control the mafias. Booth president Kinkar Saha was attacked in his own house and his family members were threatened forced him to lodge an FIR in the West Agartala police station. After the FIR was lodged, the booth president told media that even after being the booth president he does not given protection by his party. Even after complaining, the Mandal failed to take action.
The incident happened centering Durga puja immersion process that took place in Agartala yesterday after a bouncer mistreated people including children. After that Kinkar Saha and many other BJP members, locals blocked road seeking action against the bouncer and then police also arrested the bouncer.
But today, a faction of BJP led by Kanai Saha allegedly entered his house and threatened him, frightened his family members and one of them named Dip showed a pistol.
An FIR was lodged in the West Agartala PS.
“Such mafias are spoiling the reputation of the government. They do not obey what the Chief Minister is constantly saying. They threatened me that I can’t live in Tripura if I do not pay (commission) to Kanai Saha. They are nothing but just mafias,” said Kinkar Saha.
“I do not know what will happen to me today. If I am murdered, this mafia group will be held responsible for my death,” Kinkar Saha said.
