AGARTALA, Sep 23 (TIWN): If similar allegations brought against Bikash Debbarma could have been against any Minister in West Bengal or Delhi, how the BJP would have reacted? Naturally, netizens are raising the question, why after such a mismatching property with the Election Affidavit of Bikash Debbarma, there is no call for CBI, ED just like non-BJP states? What’s stopping the BJP Govt from calling for a probe against Minister Bikash Debbarma amid PM Modi’s call for ‘Bhrastachar Mukt’ Bharat. However, though BJP Govt maintained a total silence over the issue, it’s pushing for a probe into Congress MLA Sudip Barman’s properties, as a chronology of exposing the issue.
Bikash Debbarma bought multiple houses and gained property in last one and half years of being a Minister, though in his election affidavit, he claimed he and his wife have “ZERO-INCOME” and “ZERO LIABILITIES”.
Netizens on social media also asked, how the Minister could purchase a house for only Rs. 90,000 ? The Minister called a press meeting and claimed one of the properties that he purchased was only Rs. 90,000. The social media users are asking the Minister to arrange a house also for them and they will pay Rs. 90,000.
