SANTIR BAZAR, Aug 26 (TIWN): South Tripura District’s renowned school Sunflower English Medium Academy, located in Santir Bazar subdivision is facing severe losses as flood destroyed various equipment from documents to school computers.
Due to extreme flood situations, schools remained closed for many days, but right now they are opened for the staff. After opening the school, the teachers found it at an extremely damaged level, and a few pieces of equipment were beyond repair as flood water overflowed the classrooms and staffrooms.
It is feared that the loss would affect the education system in the school until the losses are mitigated.
Right now, the teachers are focussing on restoring all the lost data and availing the basic minimal facilities that must prevail in a school.
